At a reception for Ken Ulman on October 14, the Howard County Executive introduced Jon to the attendees, announcing his candidacy for the House of Delegates. Larry Carson, a Baltimore Sun reporter that covers Howard County talked with Jon following Ken Ulman’s remarks and included this item in his weekly column in the Sunday Sun: “Jonathan Weinstein of Ellicott City, a centrist Democrat who is running for the House of Delegates in Republican-dominated District 9A, was also there, campaigning for the 2010 election.” This news item offers another sure sign that the 2010 campaign is underway.

The launch furthers Jon’s goal of beginning a dialogue with citizens of the district about the issues they feel are most important.
