A group of over 30 supporters joined Jon and his committee to celebrate the official filing for his candidacy for the Maryland House of Delegates for District 9A. The gathering included concerned citizens, business owners, party activists, and several new friends who are excited about Jon’s campaign to provide “Responsive and Responsible Representation” in Annapolis for our community. The success of this event at the Diamondback Tavern in historic Ellicott City will serve as a model for similar “informal and casual” events to be held throughout the campaign. Next up are two “Meet Jon” events to be held in the homes of supporters in the Stonecrest and Gray Rock neighborhoods on August 1st and 9th, respectively. Check out the information for these events on this website.

On Tuesday, July 14 Jon made the trek to Annapolis and completed the filing as a candidate for the House of Delegates for District 9A. He was joined by his son, Ben for this critical event in the campaign. Although the campaign has been in full swing since forming the Committee to Elect Jon Weinstein last fall, the filing represents the official start to his campaign to represent the citizens of 9A in Annapolis. In the next several weeks, Jon will be hosted by supporters at several “Meet Jon” events around the county. You can also see Jon knocking on doors across the district and catch him at the Democratic Party booth at the upcoming Howard County Fair.
