Why is Jon Running for Delegate?
“Responsive and Responsible Representation” is the focus of Jon’s campaign. Jon believes the role of elected officials is to serve the interests of the people in their district, not a singular ideology or subset of the community. The opportunities and challenges facing District 9A and Maryland require a Delegate who has the ability and credibility to work with elected representatives in the county and state assembly. Jon’s years of experience as a consultant, facilitator, and business owner working to improve state, local, and federal government organizations makes him uniquely qualified to serve in Annapolis. Jon will listen carefully to the needs of our community and will work closely with other state and county officials to benefit our district.

- Apply his experience and expertise to improve the efficiency and accountability of the State Government
- Work to make Maryland the focal point for investment and advancement of emerging industries and research in the areas of biotechnology, advanced technology, cyber-security, and renewable energy
- Establish incentives for businesses and homeowners to use renewable energy resources, set aside land for conservation, and increase recycling
- Increase state and federal support of effective and successful community-based programs
- Promote policies and programs that support Maryland’s combat soldiers and veterans
- Increase sentences for deaths caused by driving under the influence
- Strengthen laws to protect children against predators
